Welcome to the World Entrepreneurs' Summit. WES is the leading events, research, news and networking business for entrepreneurs.
The annual Summit is the world's largest annual, action-oriented gathering of global entrepreneurial leaders from business, policy and academia. WES promotes the role that entrepreneurs play in stimulating sustainable economic development. We believe that entrepreneurs are change agents creating wealth and value through their innovations, whether social, technological, environmental or economic. Our delegates and online Forum members are all engaged with setting the entrepreneurial agenda globally.
In 2009 we plan a series of WES events in London. Watch this space as we will be releasing details of venue and dates shortly but some highlights will include:
Other highlights will include speed networking, open space and "un-conference" events and an awards ceremony.
Who should get involved for 2009?
Contact us if you are an entrepreneur, a social entrepreneur, a financier, a mentor or coach of entrepreneurs or if you provide any form of support to the entrepreneurial community. You should also attend if you are a policy maker with an interest in innovation and entrepreneurship or in economic development or if you conduct research in the area of entrepreneurship.
WES East Africa, 26th and 27th May, 2008
Kenya's economy has until recently been regarded as one of the most successful and stable in Africa. Much of this success was built on the micro and small businesses that have been such key drivers of employment and growth in the region. Following the turbulence in the wake of the Kenyan elections, WES supported Sacoma's Summit for international and local entrepreneurs, investors, politicians and thought-leaders.
A conference report will follow.
